Senator Tom Bakk introduced legislation today that would increase public funding for ATVs. SF 3455 would direct .27 percent of the state's annually collected gasoline tax to a "dedicated account" for ATVs.

The public already pays over $15 million annually at the pump for ATVs, dirt-bike motorycles, four-wheel drive trucks, snowmobiles and motorboats. See MRR's Public Funding of Motorized Recreation Gas-tax Flow Chart. Learn more about How the Public Funds Motorized Recreation. See a sampling of what the public gets for its $15 million in MRR's Case Studies for Reforming Public Funding of Motorized Recreation. All part of MRR's Toolkit for the Quiet Majority.

Contact your legislator and tell him/her you are opposed to increased public funding for ATVs.

Send them link to MRR's data.
