Cloquet valley state forest
The Cloquet Valley State Forest is located in South St. Louis County 15 miles north of Duluth. The Cloquet Valley State Forest encompasses more county controlled land than any of Minnesota's 57 state forests. While public and environmental review has been "suspended" by the state, local control over this state forest should gives the citizens of St. Louis County democratic opportunities to intervene to protect peace and quiet and a healthy environment in the forest and surrounding communities.
